St John Medical operates in primary health clinics across the metro area located in Armadale/Kelmscott, Cannington, Cockburn, Midland, Joondalup & Osborne Park. These facilities are state of the art and offer a range of combined health solutions including GP, Urgent Care and Dental, along with allied services and x-ray/imaging facilities.


Medical Receptionist - Kelmscott - Part-time - Health care or GP experience required

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for our expanding business. Our brand new Kelmscott urgent care clinic opened in August 2025 and provides Urgent Care to our clients. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a Health Care/GP setting, along with a strong commitment to providing high-quality administrative support within a healthcare environment.

In this role, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of St John Medical and Urgent Care, occasionally working autonomously. You will follow established high-quality processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of consistent, professional service to patients, doctors, and corporate clients.

Our clinic is open 7 days per week and hours will range from 7.30am and 8.30pm Monday to Sunday. Must be prepared to work weekends and evening shifts.

Roster

Week 1:

Monday: 7.45am - 11am

Tuesday: 7.45am - 11am

Wednesday: 7.45am - 11.00am

Friday: 7.45am - 12pm

Saturday: 7.30am - 12pm

Week 2:

Tuesday: 7.45am - 12pm

Wednesday: 7.45am - 12pm

Thursday: 12.30pm - 8.30pm

Friday: 7.45am - 12pm

Sunday: 1.00pm - 8.30pm


What you will be doing:

• Taking bookings for patients using Best Practice software
• Processing Patient Paperwork (Faxing/Scanning and emailing Documents)
• Rescheduling Patient appointments
• Assist in the coordination of pre-employment medicals and other occupational health services
• Answering multiple busy phone lines
• Billings and accounts (HICAPS and EFTPOS)
• Results Management

You will have:

• Previous experience in a busy medical reception role
• Professional presentation and attitude
• The ability to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational and customer skills
• Experience using Best Practice software
• Intermediate computer skills with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
• Genuine interest in helping people
• Full working rights in Australia
• Current Police Clearance
