St John Urgent Care clinics nestle themselves perfectly between the First Aid and Ambulance services of St John WA. We treat walk-in patients with urgent medical needs, and we are expanding our services to include several brand-new clinics across Perth.

This is an exciting new era for St John as we open additional dedicated primary health clinics to service our community where they need it most. This is your opportunity to join our state-of-the-art clinic in Cannington, your nursing journey with St John starts here.

Your role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for skilled Urgent Care Nurses for our practice in Cannington which incorporates medical, dental, and urgent care facilities. We are offer permanent part time contracts with the following shifts being available:

Week 1

Wednesday 4-9pm, 5-10pm, Friday 4-10pm, Saturday 3-10pm, 5-10pm

Week 2

Wednesday 4-9pm, 5-10pm, Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 3-10pm, Sunday 4-10pm

Week 3

Wednesday 4-9pm, 5-10pm, Friday 2-10pm, Saturday 3-10pm, 5-10pm

Week 4

Wednesday 4-9pm, 5-10pm, Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 8-2pm, 3-10pm

In addition to the above, you will also have the ability to pick up additional shifts. This position will suit an individual who has a passion for providing supportive and patient focused clinical care within a primary health care setting, focusing on improving health outcomes for our patients.

What you will be doing:

Taking care of patients with urgent medical needs 7 days per week. Our Urgent Care Centres are similar to a mini–Emergency Department and treat a range of illnesses and injuries which means each shift will be different, busy, and exciting.

To join you will have:

• Emergency Department/Critical Care/acute medical setting experience (essential)
• Triage experience (essential)
• Casting and cannulation (advantageous but training will be provided)
• Registration with AHPRA - Registered Nurse with no restrictions
• Current CPR certificate
• Covid vaccination (proof required)
• Knowledge and familiarity of Best Practice software (highly regarded)
• Police Clearance (inside 3 months old)
