Casual roles are currently available to work at our Cannington Medical Practice. We are looking for enthusiastic and professional Medical Receptionists to assist with a variety of shifts across 7 days a week. Our clinics are busy, fast-paced and provide an essential service to the community.

You will support the smooth running of the St John Medical and Urgent Care practices by working efficiently, effectively, and often autonomously, in-line with high quality processes and procedures which are designed to ensure the provision of a consistent level of service to patients, Doctors and clients.

These casual roles will include some weekend work, with the potential to be rostered any time between 7.30am and 10:30pm Monday to Sunday. You will have the option to choose shifts on a monthly roster and a typical shift length is 8 hours, but this can vary. We are not seeking applicants who can only work on weekends, you will need to be available on a variety of weekdays and/or weekends.

What you'll do:

Responsibilities include all aspects of Medical Reception including:

• Taking bookings for patients (on Best Practice Software)
• Re-scheduling patient appointments
• Attending to busy phone lines
• Arriving patients and assisting with patient queries
• Processing referrals
• Filing and records management
• Billings and accounts (HICAPS and Eftpos)
• Provide excellent customer service at all times

What you'll need:

• Previous experience in a Medical Reception or similar busy front desk role
• Experience with Best Practice software an advantage
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work efficient and excellent time management experience
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Professional attitude
• Compassionate and understanding nature
• Previous exposure to working in a healthcare or medical environment preferred but not essential
